In seasons 1-8 the shippers bid on two of the shipments listed on uShip, in a reverse auction format. Bids are typically accompanied by statements about the possible risks and costs, as well the motives and skills. If the time limit has expired for an auction the job is awarded to the lowest bidding bidder. The client's discretion however, it might be awarded to a bidder who has the highest average rating for feedback than past clients. To break up any ties, feedback ratings are employed. In season 9, shippers receive their cargo via the shipping broker. They do not see the bidding process. Instead the winners load their cargo and attempt to deliver it without damage before the deadline of the client or receiver. Client feedback scores are shown after the goods have been delivered. The show concludes with each shipper's revenue and expenses. The amount of the bid is subtracted to calculate the total profit and loss. Sometimes, the shipper will decide to transport additional loads on the same journey. This amount will be added to their tally. In certain instances there will be times when the shipper is incapable of completing a task due to concerns over weight or size of the load, or road safety. One shipper might hire someone else to help on the task. After the task is completed and the shippers have decided which way to divide the profits. Seasons 1-8 are full of funny critiques from the other shippers.
