Ky-ManiThe third album of his untitled debut is near completion, Ky-mani Marley is certainly a major star for himself. In February of 1976, Ky-mani was born into the famous Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis champion Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. Ky-mani refers to an East African term meaning adventurous traveler, and as an individual living up to his name every album, or trip, is an adventure. The Journey was his first project in music. He had a broad vision and found his voice while exploring the entire musical spectrum discovering his various talent. Many More Roads, a traditional reggae album that received a Grammy nomination in 2001 proved that Ky-mani was a mature artist. Many More Roads and The Journey received a great reception across the globe. The album established Ky-Mani's position as an independent musician. Ky-Mani blends roots reggae, hip-hop R&B, and contemporary jazz to make his own sound.
